Literature Text

Wander through the garden,
as the darkness plays across your skin.
You'll find a girl who just wanted,
to be a friend again.

She dresses in dark colors,
with her hair in her face.
She always wonders why the world is,
not a happy place.

People shun her and left,
not to return again.
So now you have met,
the Girl behind the Thorns.

(Chorus)
Oh, don't cry now, oh,
tho the world has made you hard,
and my skin your thorns break,
it's your beauty I will fight for,
if my friendship you will take...
(End Chorus)

Used and abused,
we'll travel far from here,
I'll take you in my arms,
and endure the thorns you bare ,

You turn from our world,
not to believe their lies,
but I'll bring you in the fold,
and dry those teary-eyes...

Oh, don't cry now, oh,
tho the world has made you hard,
and my skin your thorns break,
it's your beauty I will fight for,
if my friendship you will take...

Now my pretty Rose,
you've come out of hiding,
show the world your beauty,
to signify our love undying.

Remember those days,
as the night comes to a close,
when I wandered in the garden,
and found,
The Girl behind the Rose.

Oh, don't cry now, oh,
tho the world has made you hard,
and my skin your thorns break,
it's your beauty I will fight for,
if my friendship you will take...

If my hand you will take.
For :iconkkbatoretto: for winning the :iconbareyoursoul: contest :)

Congrats on the win and thanks for the challenge of my first lyrics.

Based on her submission (to be named soon)

Questions:
1) How well does this song really flow?
2) Were you interested in it's subject and would (but not necessarily) read more?
3) How often do you critique on :icongrimface242: 's poles?

Song lyrics are often bound to their music and thralled to the voice that sings them. It is difficult to critque them without hearing them sung.

3) fairly frequently of late.
